San Diego-based MP3tunes is a Music Service Provider (MSP) and the home of MP3tunes Locker, the only secure, online music space to feature unlimited listening. With just a couple clicks, Locker users sync up their own music collections to enjoy through any web browser and a growing number of home entertainment and mobile devices. The CEO and founder of MP3tunes is Michael Robertson (founder and original CEO of MP3.com). Mr. Robertson started MP3tunes three years after he stepped down as the CEO of MP3.com.

MP3.com was founded in 1997 and grew to nearly 300 employees, becoming the largest digital music site on the Web with more than 1,000,000 songs from 250,000 artists and hundreds of thousands of unique daily visitors. Vivendi Universal purchased the profitable company in 2001 for $372 million in stock and cash.

In keeping with Michael's vision of freedom of choice for music listeners, MP3tunes features a free and open Music API for streaming and syncing music between the Music Locker and listeners' computers and devices.
